Pair of Neoclassical Carved Mahogany Armchairs, early 19th century, the cresting with molded tablet over a foliate-carved splat, joining reeded, flaring arms continuing to vase-turned supports, over a paneled frame, turned legs, and cross-stretcher base, (imperfections), ht. 34 1/4 in.
chairs have splits to their seat rails, rear legs of one chair pieced, the other chair with a break to the stretchers, holes for screws of one arm at joint to seat rail not plugged and likely reinforced, and minor losses and repairs to arms
