Stoneware and Lacquer Bottle Vase, Japan, 19th century, the bulbous body rising to a slightly flared neck and everted mouth rim, decorated with cranes and lotus flowers, buds, and plants in gilt lacquer with painted and incised details, over a rough stoneware ground that transitions to a celadon crackle glaze at the shoulders and neck, with both dark and light brown matrices, ht. 13 1/2 in.
