Five Pottery Figures and a Roof Tile, China, a biscuit, purple, and turquoise glazed roof tile, possibly Ming dynasty, depicting Xi Wangmu riding a fenghuang, mounted on a carved wood stand; a brown and turquoise glazed standing figure of an official holding a rabbit, possibly Ming dynasty; a pair of brown and green glazed dogs, possibly Tang dynasty; a pottery figure with white and red pigments; and a green lead-glazed figure of a boar, ht. to 10 in.
Provenance: Roof tile purchased at Sotheby's New York, June 18, 1983, Lot 0403, other figures purchased from E & J Frankel, New York, and Luen Chai, Hong Kong.
