Famille Rose Double Gourd Wufu Vase, China, 20th century, flattened waisted double-gourd form tapering at the mouth, resting on a short splayed foot, with two curved handles, the upper and lower sections decorated with a gilt and red shou symbol surrounded by petals and scrolls, the lower medallion surrounded by five bats with ruyi shaped bodies, all surrounded by scrolling and intertwined leaves and stems, all over a yellow ground, the foot rim with a band of blue ruyi-heads over pink, with light turquoise glaze decorating the interior, the underside of the handles and the base, with a six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue on the base over a white square reserve, ht. 8 1/4 in.
