Jade Covered Box, China, flattened rectangular flask-shape with slightly arched cover, the box with two lobed corners along the bottom and top, well-hollowed interior, one side decorated in relief with peaches and bats and a qilin and lingzhi on the other, the cover with lobed sides and hinged rim, decorated with bat-and-cloud designs on both sides, stone of spinach green mottled with darker striae, spots, and fissures, with a wood stand, ht. 6 3/4, wd. 9 1/2, dp. 1 in.
