John Bull Blinking-eye Clock, Connecticut, c. 1865, cast iron statue of John Bull marked under base "T. Kennedy, Patent Applied for 1856," and painted red coat, green vest, and black pants, 3-in. printed paper roman numeral dial, thirty-hour time-only movement with mechanical connection to provide the up and down automaton motion to the eyes with the escapement action, ht. 17 1/2 in.
Movement ticks. Dial and eyes have been replaced. Case needs screws to hold halves together.
