Small Oval Armorial Export Porcelain Platter, China, early 19th century, border of rose enamel and gilt grapevines centering a crest comprised of initials "CMJ" within a brown and gilt shield surrounded by scrolls and green foliate sprigs, and surmounted by an eagle's head with an olive branch in its beak, lg. 10 1/4 in.

Note: The pseudo armorial here has been associated with Thomas Ap Catesby Jones and Mary Walker Jones of Virginia, who were married in 1823.
