Plains Pipe Tomahawk, c. third quarter 19th century, the forged head with piercings and edge decoration, the ash handle decorated with a row of brass tacks, patina of use, old typed label reads: "this was owned and used by Spotted Tail, a great Sioux Chief and fighter," lg. 17 1/4 in.
