Blackfoot Trade Blanket with Beaded Hide Strip, c. late 19th century, a red three-point blanket, the strip with multicolored geometric designs on a white background, hanging from the four large rondels are ermine tails with brass hawk bells and colored commercial yarn, above the strip are four pieces of wild turnip strung on the hide, blanket size 74 x 59, beaded strip lg. 65 1/2, dia. of rondels 8 3/4 in.

Signs of old insect grazing. Frayed at ends. Beadwork overall great condition. Beaded strip looks like it's on buffalo hide. Back overall good condition. There is some tape on the back that is temporary to prevent the prairie turnips on the front from sagging.
