The Widower's Daughters
Signed and dated "Firmin Baes./1897" l.r.
Oil on canvas, 70 3/4 x 118 in. (180.0 x 300.0 cm), unframed.
Condition: Patch reinforcements, strip lined, areas of lifting and paint losses, retouch, skinning to far right side, craquelure, surface grime.

N.B. The painting is accompanied by a disassembled oak frame.
Estimate $3,000-5,000

Primary areas of lifting and paint loss are located in the lower 1/3 of the canvas, at the l.r. corner at the edge of the path and at the l.l. near the bottom of the log where the children are seated.

The dimensions of the frame are 77 x 124 1/2 inches. The frame is in four parts.
