The Adoration of the Shepherds, 1784. Signed and identified ".J.Prestel sc. ffort. am Main 1784" in the plate l.r. Etching with aquatint in two colors on green paper, sheet size 12 5/8 x 18 3/8 in. (32.0 x 46.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Trimmed just to the borderline, pale stains at upper corners, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Through the estate of Matthew Wysocki (1920-1991),artist, photographer, professor and chairman of Dartmouth College's visual studies department (1966-1989),to the present owner by family descent, Connecticut.
