45°, 90°, 180° (Monotype VII-2), 1983, published by Tyler Graphics, Bedford Village, New York (see Tyler Graphics, MH:50-MH:82). Signed and dated "Heizer '83" in pencil l.l., publisher's dry stamp l.l., identified on labels from Barbara Krakow Gallery, Boston, and Tyler Graphics, affixed to the backing. Color monotype on heavy paper, image/sheet size 29 x 37 1/4 in. (73.5 x 94.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Deckled edges, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Purchased from the Barbara Krakow Gallery, Boston, 1983; to the corporate collection of Dunkin' Brands, Inc., Canton, Massachusetts.
N.B. Heizer completed 53 monoprints under this title, as well as an edtioned print. The edition used 16 various plates and screens. The monotypes used four of these plus other elements. The title refers to a site in Montana.
Estimate $800-1,200
Althought not examined out of the frame, the edges of the print are visible. There are unobtrusive pin holes in the upper corners. The work is hinged at the four corners. No additional issues to report.
