Käthe Kollwitz (German, 1867-1945)
Two Plates from Ein Weberaufstand, 1893-1897: Sturm, printed 1963-1972 (Knesebeck, 37Vd); and Ende, printed 1931 (Knesebeck, 38IV). The former with a "VON DER BECKES MÜNCHNER" dry stamp, the latter signed "Kollwitz" in pencil l.r., and with publication text within the plate, both identified on a label from the Nielsen Gallery, Boston, affixed to the backing. Etchings with aquatint on paper, plate sizes approximately 9 5/8 x 12 in. (24.4 x 30.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Gentle rippling, not examined out of frames.
