Milton Avery (American, 1885-1965)

Window by the Sea, 1941, edition of 60 (Lunn, 24). Signed and dated "Milton Avery 1941" in pencil l.r., signed within the plate, numbered "19/60" in pencil l.l. Drypoint with plate tone on paper, plate size 7 3/8 x 4 11/16 in. (18.5 x 11.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Harry Lunn Gallery, Washington D.C., to a New York collector, through to a private Massachusetts collection.
Estimate $1,200-1,800

Sheet size: 15 x 13 in. (38.0 x 33.0 cm). The sheet is hinged at the upper corners. No additional issues to report (the grayish areas in the condition images are shadows from the photographer).
