Continental Verdure Tapestry, probably late 16th century, wool with silk accents, the central scene with ladies and gentleman in courtly dress including a knight on a rearing horse, all within a bucolic landscape, framed within an original border with vignettes of figures and fruit-filled urns, ht. 78, wd. 123 1/2 in.

Good condition throughout, some corrosion in the silk, some small breaks where one color meets another, re-woven areas throughout, with liner and sewn hooks on reverse, some othe the silk highlights have been redone.
