German Tin-glazed Redware Charger, 19th century, of ivory ground with blue bands around rim, inscribed "Meinen Jesum laß ich nicht Den er ist allein mein leben 1797," and a spray of flowers in center in blue, dia. 14 1/8 in.
Note: "Meinen Jesum laß ich nicht" possibly refers to a late 17th century hymn for which J. S. Bach composed a derivative with the same title.
