Satsuma Vase and Stoneware Tea Bowl, Japan, the elongated oval vase with waisted neck and bottom, decorated with wisteria above a patterned band near the foot, a floral band to the neck, marked "Gyokuzan" on base; the bowl an upturned bell-shape on a slightly splayed foot, with ash glazes in red brown against ochre, impressed mark reading "sho" near foot, with a signed wood box, ht. to 7 3/8, dia. 5 1/8 in.
