Akihiko Watanabe (b. 1958) Flower Vase and Osamu Inayoshi (b. 1976) Stoneware Tokkuri, Japan, the Watanabe oviform, the surface undulating with two carved vertical wave designs, wide oval mouth and round base carved with two wave designs, iron-rich stoneware with crackled celadon glaze with "kiln mutation effect," titled and signed box with a seal on the cover, ht. 12; the Osamu rock-shaped, with grainy texture, the flared mouth slightly warped,with mottled glazes of black gray and light purple and sprinkled with gilt drops, mark on base, titled and signed box with a seal on the cover, ht. 4 1/8 in.
