Black leather in the shape of an ocean liner, the Normandie, the metal clasp made to resemble the ship's funnels, marked Depose L.R on clasp, the corner decorated with ship's anchor, lining wear, ht. 6 1/2, lg. 13 in.

Note: First-class passengers received this bag design as a gift on the Normandie's maiden voyage. The Normandie sailed from Le Havre via Southampton to New York, and was considered a luxury liner with all the most fashionable people sailing on it.
