Shirvan Rug, East Caucasus, c. 1910, the large deep aubergine lozenge inset with a blue/aubergine cruciform device in a red medallion flanked by blossoming vines and highly stylized "boteh" on a red field with rosettes and other highly stylized blossoms with two large overlapping "boteh" at each corner, all within an ivory large palmette and serrated leaf main border, 7 ft. 10 in. x 5 ft.
