First edition, large quarto, with lengthy inscription on ffep from Oliver Garrison Ricketson Jr. (1894-1952),pioneer in the study of pre-classical Mayan culture, to his second wife, Ann Howard Riggs, thanking her for supporting him and taking care of his children while he was in Guatemala for five years, in publisher's cloth, 12 x 8 3/4 in.
