First edition, large quarto, translated into English by George Sale (1697-1736) title page printed in red and black, illustrated with large folding map of the Arabian peninsula and adjacent land; three engraved lineage charts (two folding, one full page); and a folding plan/view of Mecca; bound in full contemporary Dutch parchment over boards, tooled in blind, covers soiled, 9 3/4 x 8 in.
