Miss Jane Howard. Unsigned, identified and titled on a presentation plaque. Pastel most probably on paper, 26 3/4 x 22 3/8 in., framed. Condition: Minor pigment displacement, not examined out of frame.

Pastel on paper mounted to stretched canvas. Stretcher size is 28 3/8 x 23 1/4 in. (72.2 x 59.2 cm). Mounting bubbles mainly to u.l. corner, small surface accretion to u.l. corner, minor damage/wear to the lower corners. Rippling to the canvas backing. Numbered "1857" on a label on the stretcher. Recent framer's label from Arnould Gallery and Framery, Marblehead, Massachusetts, on the frame backing paper.
