French Gilt and Marble Portico Mantel Clock, A. Mesnard, Bordeaux, c. 1890, floral urn-form vase atop the drum-head with an engine-turned bezel enclosing the 3 1/2-in. Roman blue numeral porcelain dial marked as above, flanked by flame-top urns and brass-mounted fluted columns, black marble plinths with engine-turned applied molding, all resting on the brass-mounted base and turned mushroom feet, eight-day time and countwheel strike mechanism, ht. 17 in.
