Yohannes Van Wyk Marquetry Inlaid Dutch Long Case Clock, Amsterdam, c. 1770, the fully floral decorated inlaid case with a removable pagoda top, fretted sound vents, three carved and gilded figures, cornice with pierced sound vents, arched and glazed hood door with engaged string inlaid columns flanking the composite brass dial with Roman numeral arcaded silvered chapter ring, recessed day-of-the-week, day-of-the-month, seconds dial, moon's age in the arch, lunar cycle aperture and engraved Yohannes Van Wyk Amsterdam, ovolo-shaped corner waist door with an applied cast brass lenticle mount, canted corner base, all resting on four bun feet, eight-day brass time and "Dutch striking" movement with side-mounted alarm, rack and snail strike, and anchor recoil escapement all regulated by a seconds beating pendulum and powered by two brass cased weights and separate alarm weights, ht. 105 in.
