Two Gold Elgin Open Face Watches, Illinois, c. 1885, both 15-jewel, grade 86, stem-wind, lever-set movements, with porcelain dials marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co., one with Arabic numerals, No. 1646324, in an engine-turned 18kt gold case, dia. 52 mm, 136 g., the other with Roman numeral dial, No. 701442, in an engraved 14kt gold case, dia. 52 mm, 132 g.
Watches tick but do not stay running. Wear to the engine turning on the 18kt case.
