Cased Set of French Target Pistols, c. mid-19th century, a dueling pistol with ornate foliate carvings on the stock, marked on the lockplate DESENNE/A PARIS, and the octagonal barrel marked with the same in gold, and a dueling pistol with checkered wrist, unmarked lockplate with a fish-shaped hammer, octagonal barrel marked with a 1 on the breech, two wooden ball starters, two powder measures, a brass powder flask, a brass cap container, and a wooden case fitted for the guns and components, case lg. 24, ht. 3, wd. 12 in.
Stocks are in good condition with a few light dings, steel parts are in good condition, with no finish on the barrels, and the action functions properly.
