Captain's Kepi, c. 1870s, dark blue broadcloth body with green soutache, embroidered US insignia on the front of the cap, leather chinstrap (broken),two cuff-size general staff buttons, leather visor with a bound edge, black cotton liner, and a brown sweatband.

Good condition with broken chinstrap, and some wear on the sweatband.
