Pair of Civil War-era Possibly Confederate Officer's Trousers, c. 1861-65, medium blue wool trousers with black welted outseams, tapered at ankles possibly for boots, brown polished cotton waistband lining, fly lining, and white cotton drill pocket bags.
Provenance: The collection of Denis E. Reen.
Note: These where purchased from The Union Drummer Boy in 2001. With the trousers is the receipt which states, "Civil War Officers trousers, medium blue with black welted strip. These pants are said to have come with an Arkansas coat whose buttons where removed and sold separately. The coat then had eagle staff buttons affixed and sold to a museum. These pants are being as union, however, the history should not be discounted."

A few holes and moth nips, and some thread on seams has come lose, in overall good condition.
