Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Butler's Desk, New York, c. 1810-15, the top section with reeded tambour doors flanked by ring-turned columns, opening to an interior of compartments and four bird's-eye maple drawers, the projecting lower case with foldout writing surface and case of long drawer with faux three-drawer facade, bordered by crossbanding and reeded panels, and ring-turned reeded posts flanking hinged doors, a short drawer, and bottle drawers, on similarly turned legs, ht. 47, wd. 40 3/4, dp. 21 in.
