Pair of Minton Porcelain and Gilt-bronze Sconces, late 19th century, each plate with blue and pate-sur-pate overlay with gilded banding, one with scene of maiden, lyre, and cupid, the other with a couple and eavesdropper, mounted in ring-form metal hoops with masked two-light foliate armature with ribbon tops; each plate bearing incised "MINTON" mark with date "1878," overall ht. 14 3/4 in.

The porcelains are in very good condition. The gilding to the bronzes show even wear throughout both.
