Four Meissen Porcelain Motto Figures, Germany, late 19th century, each polychrome pastel-hued, each featuring an amorous cherub with phrase inscribed at base: "Je le captive" with figure holding heart and small cage; "Un me suffit" with draped pedestal; "Je les unis" figure wearing laurel of roses; "Je prends mon essor" figure poised on a cloud, each bearing blue crossed sword mark; ht. 4 7/8 to 5 3/4 in.
