George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers, England, third quarter 18th century, with restorations, case with four graduated drawers, chamfered front corners with carved acanthus and bellflowers vines, resting on ogee feet, ht. 35, wd. 35, dp. 20 in.
Cracks on top surface of chest have been filled/restored, some splits in wood remain, with surface abrasions, scratches, white stain to right side top surface. Some nicks/abrasions to surfaces on all sides overall. Bellflower/swag ornaments may have been applied later.
