Description:

Two Embroidered Textiles, 18th century, a Portuguese border fragment with one and a half two-handled urns issuing blossoms and leaves in hues of blue/green, gold, light blue, ivory, and beige, silk on linen, 4 ft. x 1 ft. 5; and a French altar front panel, partial silk embroidery and velvet applique on wool featuring seven squares inset with individual mirror image blossoms with leaves, enclosed by an allover highly stylized verdant small-scale design, scalloped twisted rope fringe at one end, 1 ft. 6 in. x 6 ft. 5 in.
