George III Chinoiserie-style Settee, England, late 18th/early 19th century and later components, with ebonized wood and gilding with honeycomb, butterfly, chrysanthemum, and foliage accents, shaped back extending to curved arms, trapezoidal seat, resting on six tapered legs terminating in pad feet with shaped medial stretcher, later upholstered seat and back, ht. 32, wd. 56 1/2, dp. 23 in.
Restoration to stretcher components, some scattered restoration of gilded/painted areas, abrasions/chips to paint, overall signs of age and wear.
