Description:

Georgian Mahogany Linen Press, England, early 19th century and later, upper case with two paneled doors, surmounting lower case of two short drawers over one long, the interior fitted with a clothing rod, on ogee feet, ht. 74, wd. 55, dp. 26 in.
Estimate $800-1,200

Areas of professional restoration/?re-working throughout. Interior elements to upper cabinet removed/replaced, back panel cut into, top screwed on to base. Door panels with minor warping, have been re-secured in frame. Scattered patches to molding and veneer. Upper drawers warped (unable to open.) Repaired crack/chip to upper right corner of right side of base. One bracket foot repaired. Scattered age-typical nicks and abrasions.
