Description:

Louis XVI-style Inlaid and Gilt-bronze Cabinet Display, France, 19th century, fruitwood, with cornice projection accented with inlaid scrollwork, rose and floral gilt-metal swag mounts applied to front panel of outer case, vacant compartment lined with velvet and two interior wood shelves, ht. 40 3/4, wd. 30 1/2, dp. 12 in.

Veneer dry, cracking, with minor nicks, abrasions, patches, and areas darkly stained (see images). Interior lining worn and deteriorating. Two small cracks to top surface. Door sticks slightly when closing.
