Description:

Three Staffordshire Tortoiseshell-glazed Creamware Plates, England, 18th century, each octagonal, two with molded foliate-framed cartouches between a diapered border, each in varying shades of gray with splashes of blue, yellow-green, and brown, dia. 8 3/4; the third with thin diamond border sponged in brown with patches of green and yellow, dia. 9 in.
Estimate $600-800

8 3/4": One with a 3" rim hairline; rim chips of 3/8 and 3/4". One with three chips, a 1/8 and two 1/4".
9": 3/8" rim chip.
