Description:

Ersari Main Carpet, West Turkestan, second half 19th century, three rows of seven "Chub Bash" guls in terra-cotta, ivory, aubergine, and blue/green all on a red field and flanked by "dyrnak" minor guls, and several highly stylized quadrupeds and figures, all within an ivory meandering hooked vine border, 8 ft. 10 in. x 7 ft. 3 in.
