Kazak Soumak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, mid-19th century, comprised of gold, and navy lobed diamonds inset with apple green octagons on a rust-colored field flanked by small-scale zoomorphic elements including quadrupeds with curled tails, all within a chocolate brown highly stylized meandering vine main border, ivory rosette minor borders, "running dog"-patterned outer guardstripe, 8 ft. 7 in. x 4 ft. 9 in.
