Kashmir Long Shawl, North India, c. 1870, featuring a black central quatrefoil medallion with an ivory surround, flanked by a pair of elongated "boteh" terminating in a series of complex spirals, all within an inner border of smaller confronting "boteh," applied side borders, 10 ft. 9 in. x 4 ft. 8 in.
