Description:

Kazak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, c. 1900, four contiguous stepped navy diamonds inset with highly stylized palmettes, sawtooth rectangles, and "boteh" all on a large red lozenge bisecting the royal blue field with latch-hooked rectangles in octagons and several hexagons and blossoms, all within a red serrated leaf and rosette main border, 9 ft. x 5 ft.
