Kashan Carpet, Central Persia, c. 1920, the navy lobed center medallion on a wine-colored field with an allover small-scale lattice design of palmettes, rosettes, curled and serrated leaves, and cloudbands, indigo spandrels inset with blossoming trees and birds, all within a palmette and wide meandering vine main border with a small inscription at the top and bottom, multiple floral meander minor borders, 15 ft. x 9 ft. 8 in.
