Serab Long Rug, Northwest Persia, dated 1854, the royal blue field with three ivory stepped and pendanted diamonds flanked by half diamonds and an allover design of polychrome small-scale eight-pointed stars in octagons and highly stylized rosettes, all within an ivory zoomorphic palmette and angular vine-patterned main border, multiple quatrefoil variant minor borders, 12 ft. x 3 ft. 10 in.
