Bergama Small Rug and a Pair of Bags, West Anatolia, third quarter 19th century, the small rug with a latch-hooked hexagon inset with highly stylized palmettes, rosettes, and eight-pointed stars on a red field within an eight-pointed star in octagon in barber pole variant border, 3 ft. 6 in. x 3 ft. 4 in; the pair of bags with latch-hooked horizontal bands and three staggered rows of tassels at each end, the center panel comprised of alternating wide red, blue, and green horizontal stripes, 4 ft. x 1 ft. 5 in.
