Two Baotou Mats, China, early 20th century, one with a fret-work center medallion flanked by Buddhist treasures and scholar's objects with "wan"-in-fret spandrels all on an ivory field, all within a "wan"-in-fret main border, pearl and meandering "T" minor borders, 3 ft. 11 in. x 2 ft., and one with a fret center medallion enclosed by several blossoms, "wan"-in-fret spandrels, all within a light blue endless knot, coin and blossom main border, meandering "T" and pearl minor borders, 4 ft. x 2 ft.
