Serapi Carpet, Northwest Persia, late 19th century, the large royal blue gabled center medallion with anchor pendants on a terra-cotta field with an allover design of highly stylized angular vines, palmettes, flowerheads, and serrated leaves, ivory spandrels, all within a terra-cotta "turtle"-patterned main border, multiple rosette minor borders, 13 ft. x 10 ft.
