Tabriz Carpet, Northwest Persia, late 19th/early 20th century, the magenta field with an allover large-scale "Shah Abbas" design of spaciously drawn palmettes, curled and serrated leaves, split vines, and cloudbands, all within a medium blue large-scale meandering vine and palmette-patterned main border, 12 ft. 3 in. x 8 ft. 11 in.
