Sancai Guanyin, China, 19th/20th century, seated in the "royal ease pose," on a rectangular rock formation, the generous folds of the drapery cover all but the breast which is draped in a green-glazed jeweled necklace, the breast, face, and arms are unglazed, the drapery and rock formation covered in caramel, green and yellow glazes, the top knot with a crown depicting a seated Buddha, the hair and earls are painted black with traces of pigment on the face, arms, hands and the Buddhist crown, with wood stand, ht. 36 1/2 in.
