Chun Kyungja (b. 1924),A Black Woman in Atlanta, Korea, 1987, portrayed in three-quarter view facing right, wearing a white floral headband with colorful ribbons, her irises, hair, and ochre blouse partially painted in high karat gold, dated "1987" and signed "Kyungja" in Chinese characters on painting, titled in Korean on the back, color on paper, mounted on a panel bordered with gilt lines, framed and glazed, painting 16 x 12 1/4 in.
Provenance: Purchased in 1994/5 by the present owner in New York.
